Mohamad Khater receiving his ESOL certificate from the Mayor

November 22, 2017

To be able to graduate, Mohamad has had to joggle between a morning shift job at the Vue Cinema, his duties as a father of four very young children and his determination to complete the 12 week ESOL course made available to the Syrian Refugees of Bedford and Flitwick, thanks to the joint efforts of BRASS, the Kings Arms Project, the Bedford Borough Council and Central Bedfordshire Council.

In order to avoid being late, he often cycled to school as his timing did not allow him to take the minibus provided for students' transportation to the ''Raleigh Centre'' where his classes took place.

Mohammad is proud that he could finally graduate, and receive his certificate from the Mayor of Bedford's hands. He is now looking forward to the next ESOL course which will start on Monday 8th January.

Because his English has improved a lot, it will not be long before Mohamad will be enroled in Bedford College for a 9 month ESOL course. He is impatiently waiting for that day!
