English served up at The Language Cafe!

The Language Cafe is a community initiative which BRASS is pleased to support. It started in the spring of 2018 and has been piloted for a few months with the Syrian refugee families of Bedford (SVPRS). The Cafe offers informal teaching of English by native English speakers, often retired professionals, such as teachers, engineers, medical staff etc.. Participants can move amongst the themed tables and they can also learn the Highway Code via a slide projection presentation on the Driving Theory Test. The Language Cafe is held at the All Nations Church in Brickhill Drive, Bedford every second Sunday of the month from 15:00 to 17:00. Bus number 6 to Brickhill will drop you opposite the church. We invite all our clients wishing to learn or improve their English and to meet new people to come along to the Cafe, there will be a warm welcome waiting for you! Coffee, tea and biscuits are served and children are welcome!
